The park is divided into multiple zones, and each has its own unique charm.
• Ranthambore has a rich historical background. At the heart of Ranthambore National Park stands the magnificent Ranthambore Fort. This historic fort dates back to the 8th century and has witnessed centuries of dynasties and rulers.
• Ranthambore was once a hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur. In 1955, it was established as a wildlife sanctuary, and in 1980 it became a national park and a tiger reserve. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 as part of the “Hill Forts of Rajasthan.
• Ranthambore’s transformation from a royal hunting ground to a protected tiger reserve also marks a historical shift in wildlife conservation in India, emphasizing the importance of preserving natural habitats.

• Drive to Corbett, covering approximately 575 km in about 9.30 hours. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes as you drive through the state of Rajasthan. Admire the architecture, villages, and arid beauty that characterizes this region.
• Stop for lunch at a restaurant in Delhi. Consider trying local specialties for a unique culinary experience.
• Proceed with the drive towards Corbett, crossing into the state of Uttar Pradesh.
• Take a short break for tea or coffee to refresh yourself. Stretch your legs and prepare for the final leg of the journey.
• Enter Uttarakhand and appreciate the changing scenery. The terrain might become more hilly as you approach the Corbett region.

• Corbett’s diverse landscapes, including dense saal forests, open grasslands, meandering river and rocky terrain, provide the ideal backdrop for your adventure.
• After an enriching morning safari, return to the Dhikala campus at around 10 am. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the campus, reliving the highlights of the morning safari.
• The tranquility of the surroundings and the close connection to nature make Dhikala a unique place to stay.
• Head back to your assigned Forest Rest House (FRH) room. Take a shower and relax, soaking in the afternoon sun. Enjoy the view from the deck, where you might spot wild elephants bathing in the Ramganga River.
• Indulge in a delicious lunch at around 1 pm. Savor the flavors while anticipating the afternoon safari.
• Get ready for the afternoon safari, starting at 1:30 pm. Embark on another exploration of the Dhikala Zone, known for its diverse flora and fauna.
• As the sun begins to set, experience the magic of the forest during the golden hour. Capture the beauty of the surroundings and spot wildlife as they become more active.
• Return to the Dhikala campus for a refreshing evening tea. Relax on the deck, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest.
• Head back to your FRH room to process the images and memories captured during the safaris. Use this time for personal relaxation and enjoyment.
• Indulge in a delightful dinner at the Dhikala canteen, enveloped by the harmonious sounds of nature.
• After dinner, retire to your cozy FRH room. Reflect on the day’s wildlife encounters and prepare for another day of adventure.
